Predicting future coverage with our in-house astrologer
Contacts are one of the most important elements as a PR. So ensuring the team is maintaining and building relationships with key journalists, is vital in securing future coverage and opportunities.
PBPR has found media relations events are a great way to touch base with familiar contacts - as well as giving us a chance to put our name on the map with any new publications.
Earlier this month, PBPR hosted a successful evening in partnership with its in-house astrologer, Inbaal Honigman. During the event, the PBPR team was able to have important conversations with journalists. Guests were also able to network with peers and had a chance to receive their very own tarot reading, of course!
With more journalists and editors questioning the authenticity of in-house experts, encouraging in-person meetings is a good way of explaining to journalists what PBPR deliver for them and their publications.
The aim was to target a variety of new domains across showbiz, lifestyle, news, broadcast and SEO desks. The team welcomed senior journalists and editors from Cosmopolitan, The I Paper, Buzzfeed, The Independent, Mumsnet, Huff Post, Rock My Wedding, as well as broadcast giants, News.com.au, Sky and Global plus many more.
Since the event, PBPR has received positive feedback from attendees commenting on how great Inbaal was in person with many showing more interest in upcoming campaigns ahead of the busy summer season. To capitalise on this for its clients, PBPR has devised a strategy to build lasting relationships with its new contacts. This will be vital in the lead-up to showbiz events such as this year’s Love Island and the World Cup.
