Activation
We inserted Saxo into the news coverage surrounding Luke Littler’s World Darts Championship win, with a unique investment perspective.
Saxo’s internal investment experts calculated Luke’s potential earnings if he invested his circa £600k net winnings from 2024 into an index fund returning 7% annually. The result would be a wapping £13.2million for him to enjoy in retirement, without ever needing to throw a dart again.
Our in-house journalists also came up with another supporting story angle - the fact that Luke (aged 17) is still unable to legally buy darts in the UK.
Results
The story delivered 37 total pieces of online coverage, of which 50%+ contained a backlink.
Coverage highlights included Sky News, Daily Mail, GB News, MSN, Express and Daily Star, and coverage views amounted to 20million+.
